| Circuit training is a fitness activity combinging strength and endurance excersises that are completed one after the other, with brief rest periods in between. this workout provides variety, calorie-burning, strength and endurance benefits in a short period of time.
Students will do a cucuit of 10-12 excersises that are completed one after the other for a designated amount of time. They will demonstrate proper technique and learn of possible safety hazards associate with circuit training. Students will recieve an excersize chart to record resistance and repetitions for each particular excersize. For weight training stations 8th and 9th grade will use machines: where as 10th-12th graders will use machines and free weights. Proper dress: students need to wear sneakers, shorts, and crew-neck t-shirts. Sweatpants and sweatshirts are allowed but not necessary. No jewlery please. It is recommended that students bring a small towel to class to wipe down the equipment after each use. Bring a pen/pencil to class to record results on your weight chart.
