PHYSICAL EDUCATION 2 CREDITS
SEQUENCE REQUIREMENT: 2-5 ADDITIONAL CREDITS TO FULFILL
SEQUENCE REQUIREMENTS
* Students pursuing a Regents Diploma must take either 3 credits in Foreign Language or 5 credits in Occupational Education, Art, or Music and an additional 3 credit sequence.
REGENTS PROGRAM
A. Two 3-credit sequences or One 5-credit sequence in any of the following subject areas:
ART
BUSINESS
BOCES
FOREIGN LANGUAGE (4-5 TOTAL CREDITS)
MATH
SCIENCE
TECHNOLOGY
MUSIC
FINE ARTS
B. One 5 credit sequence in either English or Social Studies and One 3-credit sequence in one of the subject areas listed above.
REGENTS DIPLOMA
Students must pass Comprehensive Regents Examinations in the following:
ENGLISH
GLOBAL STUDIES
U.S. HISTORY
FOREIGN LANGUAGE OR OCC. EDUCATION PROFICIENCY EXAM
MATH (MATH I/II OR MATH A)
SCIENCE (2)
Students must also pass additional Regents Examinations in Math and/or Science if they are pursuing sequences in those areas.
APPLIED PROGRAM (LOCAL DIPLOMA)
A. A 5-credit sequence in Business, Technology, combination (Bus/Tech), or BOCES.
B. A 5-credit sequence which includes 3 Art credits, and 2 Business (with Intro to Occupations)
C. A 4-credit sequence in Math or Science, plus an additional 3-credit sequence.
To receive a New York State Diploma all students must meet the following exam requirements:

55 or better on the English Regents Exam
55 or better on the Math A Regents Exam
55 or better on the U.S. History Regents Exam
55 or better on the Global Studies Regents Exam
55 or better on the Science Regents Exam
(Entered Grade 9 2000-2001)
65 or better on the English Regents Exam
65 or better on the U.S. History Regents Exam
65 or better on the Global Studies Regents Exam
55 or better on the Life Science Regents Exam
55 or better on the Math A Regents Exam
(Students who entered 9th grade year 2001 and after)
ALL STUDENTS WILL EARN A REGENTS DIPLOMA WITH THE OPTION OF EARNING A REGENTS DIPLOMA WITH DISTINCTION.
